I graduated in medicine from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), where I received an award for outstanding scientific research, and completed my psychiatry training at the Institute of Psychiatry of the Hospital das Clínicas, University of São Paulo (IPq/HC-FMUSP), with a research internship at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden.
I practice clinical psychiatry and psychotherapy in a private practice and as part of the perinatal psychiatry consultation-liaison team at Grupo Santa Joana. My practice integrates current scientific knowledge, attentive listening, and shared decision-making, working together with each person to build a treatment plan that is sensitive to their history and context.
My approach is grounded in behavior analysis, especially third-wave contextual therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), with the aim of promoting a life more aligned with personal values.
I am currently completing an additional year of residency in Forensic Psychiatry at the Paulista School of Medicine, Federal University of São Paulo (EPM-UNIFESP). I work as a court-appointed expert at the São Paulo State Court of Justice and as a party-appointed technical assistant (assistente técnico), drafting expert questions (quesitos), attending forensic evaluations, and writing technical opinions on expert reports.
