I am a physician trained at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), where I was awarded for excellence in scientific research, and a psychiatrist trained at the Institute of Psychiatry – Hospital das Clínicas da Universidade de São Paulo (IPq/HC-FMUSP).
I am currently completing an additional year of residency in Forensic Psychiatry at the Paulista School of Medicine of the Federal University of São Paulo (EPM-UNIFESP).
I practice clinical psychiatry and psychotherapy, integrating current scientific knowledge, attentive listening, and shared decision-making, working together with each person to build a therapeutic plan that is sensitive to their history and context.
My approach is grounded in behavior analysis, particularly third-wave contextual therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), with the overarching goal of supporting a life more aligned with each person’s values.
I also work as a forensic psychiatrist, both as a court-appointed expert and as a party-appointed expert, bringing the same clinical and scientific rigor to the interface between psychiatry and law, a field that demands diagnostic precision, methodological clarity, and respect for the complexity of each individual story.
